Bean Bag Chairs - No Chair is More Fun

Is there anything more fun than bean bag chairs? I don't think so. But even with all its fun aspects, you probably didn't know that when you sit in a bean bag chair, you're sitting in designer Italian furniture!

That's right, the bean bag chair was first introduced way back in 1969. It was created as a pear-shaped, soft leather chair by three Italian designers, but didn't catch on right away. Eventually the shape was slightly changed, the leather moved to vinyl, and the interior was filled with Styrofoam pellets. Mass production began and the rest, as they say, is history.

A bean bag chair is unique because it moves with you. If you adjust your seating position in a standard chair, the chair remains where it is. Not so with a bean bag chair. A bean bag chair fits any shape or size, any height or weight. It can accommodate one or two people, and the beans can be adjusted to give you support wherever you need it.

The bean bag itself comes in so many shapes, materials and designs that they're almost impossible to count. For ultimate comfort and warmth, choose a leather or suede cover. Microfiber is a new, popular alternative because it cleans up easier than suede, but still has that soft-to-the-touch feel.

Vinyl is a very popular choice not only because of price, but because it's so easy to clean. For kids' rooms, TV rooms, playrooms, or any room where activity and food might mix, vinyl is the perfect choice. It also can take a beating, and if it does get damaged, is pretty easy to repair. Many vinyl beanbags come with vinyl repair kits, just in case.

Cloth, of course, is a great covering. It can be any color or design to suit your tastes or mood. You can buy bean bag chairs with the logo of your favorite college or professional team. Or get one that looks like a baseball, soccer ball, or football. Many cloth beanbag chairs have the beans inside a plastic bag, so you can unzip the cloth covering, throw it in the laundry, and your chair is good as new!

Bean bag chairs can be made from Sunbrella fabric, so they can stand up to outdoor use. Or how about a faux fur chair? Animal prints! Your imagination is the only limit, because there are companies out there that will put together a custom bag for you according to your description.

Look for a bean bag chair that has double-stitched seams, especially if it'll be used by kids. Children will dive and jump on these-they can't help it. So make sure your chair will stand up to the inevitable abuse.

But a bean bag chair is the perfect, inexpensive, portable seating solution that can be customized for your decor. Go check out some bean bag chairs today!
